Sorry I was MIA during the first week but I had good reason- I just returned from family vacation to the fabulous St. Augustine, FL. My family has been going there since I was about 9 years old. We stay in the same condo facility and go to the same places and it is great being able to feel so at home so far from home! I was able to relax on the beach and do nothing. This trip also ensured me that I will be just fine moving away from my family. I love them dearly but they drive me CRAZY! They all mean well, they are just too much for me to handle. But being able to sit oceanside for a few days really was fabulous and was just what I needed!
Here is an update on the rest of my life...
Job: Quit Children's in May because it wasnt working out for me, long story short I was actually working with kids and treating for maybe 10 hours a week and doing BS office work the rest of the time. I did not bust my tail through PT school to watch other people treat kids. So I have wanted to do travel therapy to be able to see more of the country and find a place where I would like to settle down. So I signed on, and since I need to be local through October I am working at a nursing home in Dayton (it is ghetto and terrible- I would not let anyone I know in this place, but it will due for now). It is the closest they could find on short notice. I will be working there through September 17th. I will then have a month off to coach soccer and get ready to move. Soccer ends Oct 7, but I have 2 lovely friends with weddings on October 15 so I am sticking around for those then heading west! My company is currently looking for a position for me in Denver, Boulder or Fort Collins, CO!
Boy: Jeremy is officially my boyfriend. As I realize this
is old news to some, it may not be to all. We met via eharmony when friends from Children's convinced me to give it a try after all the terrible dates I was going on. So we were talking for a few months and when I had a 5 hour lay over in Denver on my way out to Salt Lake in May he came and took me out. I had the best time! Such a great time in fact that I missed my plane to Salt Lake, but it all worked out in the end. He came and met me in Indy for a wedding in June, and I spent 4th of July with him. I am so happy and could not have asked for someone better suited for me. He is coming the weekend of the 14th/15th and it cannot come soon enough! The picture is of when I was out there with him, we went and spent a day in Fort Collins before I had to leave. More about him: Jeremy is 31, he is a "university lecturer" which basically means professor on short term contract. He teaches at University of Wyoming in the honors program, he teaches sociology classes (pop culture/music and another on crime in rural america). He loves dogs, hiking, athletics...basically he's awesome and you should meet him!
Max: is precious and there will be pictures of him soon! He missed me lots while I was gone!
Reading: Since we have taken a hiatus from book club I picked up The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson for my trip home from FL and it is pretty good. It is a complex plot with many stories twisting together. I will let you know more as I read more of the book. Eat, Pray, Love the movie comes out next Friday!
That is all for tonight, it is bed time! Take care all, and cant wait to hear from everyone soon!
Love EVERYTHING about this....I do need some pictures of my nephew, Max, up though! Can't wait for the movie, I'm dying to see it!
