Since I now live in the middle of nowhere and it is beginning to get too cold to do anything outdoors, I have began to take up at new hobby. I am now learning how to crochet! I picked up hooks and some yarn on Saturday and with the help of The Art of Crochet by Teresa on youtube I am slowly learning the basics. I am really excited, but I also think its hilarious because if you would have asked me a year ago I never would have imagined being in small town Colorado learning to crochet. It really is a lot of fun and rather rewarding when you learn a new stitch or learn anything! I again tried to take a picture of what I have done so far but it would not allow me to upload it.
This week I also bought my plane ticket home for Christmas!! I will be home the 24th-29th. So I hope to see everyone while I am there! I know it is a short visit but I can only get so much time off work.
I also began the Insanity workout dvds...the name implies it all. Today was only my second day but I am beat. It is all out for 30-40 minutes with a few 30 second rest periods in between. Max thinks as you jump up and down and lunge and push up and... he thinks you are playing with him. It made trying to do the fitness test really hard, I was trying to do kicks and had to keep turning so I wouldnt kick him in the face!
We are doing great here! I absolutely love Colorado!! I think I have found where I want to live. Loveland, CO! It is about 40 minutes outside Denver, and 20 from Ft Collins. It has a mountain view, and is relatively close to Lauren's Canyon :) Hope all is well with everyone else!
Will you please crochet me something? Maybe a cup holder? Haha I love it! Makes me want to do something like that. I'm glad you are loving CO. Give it a few years and you will have some neighbors :) I've heard a lot about the insanity workout it kinda reminds me of Crossfit which Cody does every one in a while. Living next to Lauren's Canyon sounds like a wonderful place! I am going to post today...sorry I have been missing in action. Miss you so much!
ReplyDeleteI love hearing how happy you are in Colorado! And I'm way impressed with your new hobby!! Cracking up about Max helping you workout, my cats like to join whenever i try to do home yoga... ha. :)
