1. After seeing "The Town" I became mildly obsessed with the song 'Jolene'. They play this song at the end of the movie and for some reason it has stuck with me. There are a few versions of it sung by different artists but this one in the movie is sung by Ray LaMontage whose voice is haunting and addictive. Please listen to it.
2. Website I'm constantly on, SummitPost. I joined last week and I can't stop! Every mountain, rock, pebble is listed on this site. Each National Park has it's own page and pictures uploaded by fans and personal experiences. Every trail is listed from East to West and multiple routes to get to the top of a mountain. I created my own page and am uploading. I have started a list of every hike I have been on and as you all know there are pictures to go with my story. Check it out!
3. The Scottsdale Public Library at Civic Center. My new hang out when I have spare time. Also another hang out is a Borders right in Fashion Square. The most amazing shopping in all of Arizona and I literally live 3 minutes away from it.
4. Store I have to keep myself out of...Crate & Barrel. If you have ever been in this store you know why it's on this list.
5. Magazine I get super excited about every month..Women's Health. Love the articles, love the fitness tips, love every page of this damn magazine! Yes, I have a subscription.
6. Mountain I'm obsessing over...Mt. Humphrey's. Climbing this bad boy in two weeks, the highest peak in all of Arizona. There is a chance that at the top there will be snow, haven't been in a jacket in about 5 months so the excitement is building. This will be my highest summit, tears and sweat will be had. I get emotional over beauty and the leaves will be changing in Northern Arizona (another thing I'm dying to see).
7. Stars. Yes, stars. Went stargazing the other night north of the city. The air is so clean north of the city and you can see every single star in the sky, it's breathtaking. Actually saw the Milky Way at the Grand Canyon at night, never saw that before. The sky somehow feels bigger out here.
8. TV show..Flipping Out. I want to flip houses in my spare time, just add that to the list.
9. Origins Modern Friction. A rice based exfoliator. Try it and you will never put anything else on your face ever again.
10. Gambel's Quail. A bird I see every day who rarely flys. They just run really really fast in a very very funny way. I love these birds and like to chase them sometimes.
