The Heat never Ends.
Alright, I knew it was going to be hot living in the desert but everyone told me once September hits it will cool down...liars! The high today will be 106 and we are already 20 days into the month. For the past 4 months I have been dealing with this heat and finally the weatherman said this is the week that we will dip down into the 90's (finally). I ran the 5k I told all of you about this weekend. It was basically a trail run because we were only on pavement for .2 miles of the whole 3.1. My beautiful Mizuno shoes are now red thanks to the sand and rocks we ran on! I had a great time and actually got the 28 minutes that I wanted to finish in which was surprising because of the terrain we ran on and by 8:30 am it was already 90 degrees. The picture below is of myself and Meg a girl I work with after our big finish, celebrating of course!
I am in the process of finding a real estate school to get my real estate license! I started my career with the dreams of selling for Marriott corporate events and getting new clients into our properties. I got to dip my feet into that while I was working in Cincinnati but now my focus has changed a tad. In the state of Arizona you need your real estate license to sell time shares for Marriott properties. You know how rich people buy time shares and then switch with other owners in different vacations spots, well there needs to be people to sell those. That's what my focus is now so I have been visiting my new favorite local Scottsdale library and reading all about the classes I need to take. I'm hoping to complete my schooling in December and January, get my license and then get a position in the sales and marketing department with our vacation club!! I am very excited about this but I know it's going to be a ton of work but hey we all have to dream big. The 5 year plan involves myself and my man friend moving to Colorado. This plan was made about two years ago to end up in Colorado to start our life together. We have already started it out here in Arizona but we want Colorado to be our final destination, so Ashley you better stay there for at least 20 years ;)
